Your Acupuncturists
Kidada, a Brooklyn native, is warm and energetic with a healing spirit. Kidada is an acupuncturist, gardener and reiki practitioner. The seeds of her passion for the healing arts were planted as a young child by a mother who braved the jungles of Guyana in search of self-discovery. Kidada learned to take an integrated approach to wellness and views healing as a journey, not just a destination. Ms. Fields encourages her patients to actively participate in their curing process. Part of her work includes supporting people in their ability to listen to their bodies and tune into the messages that symptoms convey.
Kidada’s Acupuncture background is rooted in Five Element theory that branches out to include different styles and the use of herbal medicine . Kidada has been in practice for over ten years. Kidada has studied with Lonny Jarrett, focusing on in-depth pulse taking, 5 Element constitutional diagnosis and her self cultivation to better assist and enlighten people on their healing path. She has helped people with an array of health concerns including bodily & emotional pain, infertility, menstrual & menopausal issues, impotence, depression, and seasonal imbalances.
She earned her Master’s in Acupuncture (2006) from the acclaimed Tai Sophia Institute Maryland. Ms. Fields holds a BS in Biology (1998), a Health Coach Certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (2004) and a 2nd level Reiki attunement (2013).
About Kidada
Adrienne is an experienced acupuncturist with a passion for helping patients find balance and well-being. Her approach is to be present, meeting patients where they are, understanding what they are ready to handle. She aims to uncover root causes.
Adrienne holds a Masters of Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science, M.A. in Food Studies and Food Culture from NYU, and a Holistic Health Counselor Certification from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Through her education and practice she has cultivated an extensive knowledge in nutrition, cooking, and sustainability. She brings this holistic approach to her acupuncture practice and helps patients understand how interconnected their health issues may be, revealing insights Western medicine might overlook.
She enjoys assisting patients with neuropathy, insomnia, digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, anxiety, depression, perimenopause, and menopause. Adrienne's ultimate hope is that her patients gain a sense of comfort within themselves, becoming the best version of themselves.
Adrienne is particularly skilled in facial acupuncture, which can boost collagen production and provide an emotional uplift during life transitions such as perimenopause and menopause.
The unseen aspects of the world are a huge part of Adrienne's life. When not working or with her children, Adrienne explores local food markets, swims, practices qi gong, and forages for wild edibles, including mushrooms.
